Are you available as an expert witness nationwide?
Yes. While our on-site inspection services are primarily in Southern California, we provide expert witness consulting and testimony nationwide. For cases outside Southern California, we can often coordinate with local inspectors or travel to the site as needed.
What certifications do you hold for expert witness work?
Our principal inspector holds certifications from the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA #CP2416122), Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Services (FCITS #2031), North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA), and International Floor Covering Inspection Institute (IFCII). These are the four major flooring certification bodies in the United States.
Do you work for plaintiffs or defendants?
We work for whichever party retains us — plaintiff or defendant. Because we are completely independent and do not sell, install, or repair flooring, our findings are based solely on evidence and industry standards. We do not advocate for a position; we report what we find.
How much does expert witness work cost?
Expert witness work is billed at a higher rate than standard inspections due to the additional time, documentation, and testimony requirements. We provide fee schedules and retainer agreements before beginning work. Contact us to discuss your specific case.
